Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out the efficiencies of lesson plans using Group Process, Backward Design and Teacher’s Handbook for Matayom Suksa 1 students on Integer Number of core mathematics subject following criterion 80/80, to compare the learning achievement in mathematics of students who were taught by using Group Process, Backward Design and Teacher’s Handbook for Matayom Suksa 1 students on Integer Number of core mathematics subject and to study the satisfaction in integer number lesson plans using Group Process, Backward Design and Teacher’s Handbook of Matayom Suksa 1 students. The samples were obtained by cluster random sampling for three groups (127 students) from 4 classes (171 students) of Matayom Suksa 1 in the first semester of academic year 2014 at Chakungraowittaya (In-Chum Deesarn ooppathum) School, the Kamphangphet municipality, Kamphangphet province. The first drawing was the 41 students in Matayom Suksa 1/1 class1 who were taught by using Group Process . The second drawing was the 43 students in Matayom Suksa 1/2 class2 who were taught by using Backward Design. The third drawing was the 43 students in Matayom Suksa 1/33 class who were taught by using Teacher’s handbook. The instruments used in this study were 1) the lesson plans using Group Process 2) the lesson plans using Backward Design 3) the lesson plans using Teacher’s handbook 4) the pre-test and post-test 5) the lesson plan post-tests and 6) the satisfaction questionnaire for studying mathematics by using Group Process, Backward Design and Teacher’s handbook instruction . The research was used the Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, efficiency and one-way variance (One way ANOVA / F-test )
The result of the study were as follows:
1. The efficiency of lesson plans using Group Process for Matayom Suksa 1 students on Integer Number of core mathematics subject following criterion 81.74/82.00, the efficiency of lesson plans using Backward Design for Matayom Suksa 1 students on Integer Number of core mathematics subject following criterion 83.35/84.44 and the efficiency of lesson plans using Teacher’s handbook for Matayom Suksa 1 students on Integer Number of core mathematics subject following criterion 80.55/81.00. The efficiencies of lesson plans were more than criterion 80/80.
2. The students’ achievement pre-test of each groups were not different of average by one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA) and the students’ achievement post-test of each groups were different of average by one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA) at .01 level. The students’ achievement between pair comparison were different at .01 level. The average of the students’ achievement by using Backward Design was higher than the average of the students’ achievement by using Group Process and Teacher’s handbook. And the average of the students’ achievement by using Group Process was higher than the average of the students’ achievement by using Teacher’s handbook by Scheffe analysis of variance at .01 level.
3. The study of students’ satisfaction of satisfactorily learning with the instruction model using Backward Design was at the highest level and the students’ satisfaction of satisfactorily learning with the instruction model using Group Process and Teacher’s handbook were at high level.
